Disney Casts For a New Pilot “Austin & Ally”

Disney is planning to open the doors to a next generation of stars with their new shows.  With Hannah Montana ending and the potential last season of Wizards of Waverly Place and Suite Life on the Deck is hoping to bring fresh faces to be the next stars.

Disney has already started airing ‘Shake It Up‘ and they have picked up ‘ANT Farm’ and the latest show to get a pilot is “Austin & Ally”.  The multi-camera comedy will follow two polar opposites in an unlikely partnership of two musicians, Austin is an extroverted musician/singer and Ally a brilliant but shy songwriter-and their two best friends Trish and Dex.  The show starts off with Austin and Dex appropriating one of Ally’s songs, record it, create a video, and post it on on the internet which makes Austin becomes a local sensation.  Trish begs Ally to tell the world she wrote the song, but Austin begs her to write another song for him .  Instead the two combine forces to become a music phenomenon.

14 year old Rossy Lunch has been cast as ‘Austin” and 15 year old Laura Marano will take the lead role of Ally, with Raini Rodriguez as Trish, the role of Dex has yet to be cast.  So what do you think of this new show about to debut on Disney?
