What is better than Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Carribbean 4?  How about Johnny Depp lending his voice to an animated movie?!  While this is nothing new for the actor to lend his voice to animated movies, this may be the first out of Tim Burton’s scope.  Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures have teamed up to bring us Rango on March 4th to theaters.  Directed by Gore Verbinski who also directed Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Carribbean movies and Johnny Depp providing the voice of the title character Rango.

The film Rango is about a pet chameleon who lives in a terrarium.  He has always thought of himself as a hero, but when he is removed from his cozy existence and thrown into the real world his hero mentality kicks into high gear.  Finding himself in a contemporary American southwest surrounding he ends up in an Old West town called Dirt and he meets a variety of new characters garbed like characters out of a spaghetti western.

He decides to set himself up a a lawman, strolling the streets like a sheriff, but unknown to him the ‘good guy – hero role’ doesn’t so so well in Dirt.  But that doesn’t stop him from trying, but he soon finds all that he’s known about himself may be wrong.  Check out the trailer below!  Are you excited for this movie?
