Shakira

pop princess Shakira has written a book about the star based on the hit TV show Dora the Explorer. Her first children’s book is called Dora the Explorer in the International Day of Adventure is about Dora and Boots seeking school supplies for their friends world wide.

I think that it is a nice story line that will teach kids to give. However, I am surprised that Shakira would write a children’s book! I am glad that she did, but I will say that it is a little strange to think that a major pop star would write one for kids.

What do you think of Shakira writing a children’s book? Is she banking in on a popular brand or do you think she really cares about these kids? I believe she does have a charity for third world countries and their children. So I do think she does really care about kids. I hope she will keep on writing more books like this one as well, I think it will do a lot of good.

Huh… She is founder of her 15 year old Barefoot Foundation, UNICEF Ambassador for life even the Waka Waka is for the 1GOAL education project
She is a children’s advocate it’s no news

Shakira has already built 6 schools in her native Colombia through her own Barefoot Foundation. All of the students attending those schools receive scholarships providing them with a free education and with free meals.

With that said, I can definitely see her interest in writing a children’s book and I think she has great intentions. She has been committed to early childhood education for many years. Even Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, and Warren Buffet have backed her educational programs in Colombia.
