New Poster for Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom

Nov - 20 2010 | Marty Shaw | no comments

Jack Black is back as the voice of the kung fu fighting panda, Po, and the new poster for “Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom” is a bright and colorful attention-getter for the sequel that many have been waiting for since the original film in 2008.

While the new look doesn’t have the sense of action portrayed in the first poster, this one does actually provide the name of the sequel instead of simply going with the confusing title of “Ska2oosh.”

Pictured large and in charge is the star himself, with the typical look of slight bewilderment that perfectly captures the spirit of the character we came to love in the first film. The stylized dragon in the number ‘2’ is also a nice touch.

Po isn’t the only one coming back for more action. Also returning are his fighting companions, The Furious Five: Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Crane (David Cross), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Monkey (Jackie Chan), along with their teacher, Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman).

This time around, Po and his friends join forces with a group of new kung-fu masters to take on an old enemy with a deadly new weapon.

Po will be doing his kung fu fighting in theaters on May 27, 2011.
