First Trailer For Red Riding Hood

Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming film Red Riding Hood. The film adds a horror twist to the famous Brothers Grimm fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood. It is directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) and stars Amanda Seyfried. The film is set in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf, and a young girl (Seyfried) falls for an orphaned woodcutter (Shiloh Fernandez), much to her family’s displeasure.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Ireland, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Alex Mace and Julie Yorn produced the film for Warner Bros.
In addition to Amanda and Shiloh, some of the other cast members include Gary Oldman, Luca Haas, Virginia Madsen, Julie Christie and Billy Burke.

Amanda has done a lot of work in television and was a regular on the hit HBO series Big Love and played the character Sophie in the hugely successful film Mamma Mia!. Check out the trailer below.

Red Riding Hood is set to open in the U.S. on March 11, 2011.
