Dolly Parton Dishes On Miley Cyrus’ New Image
Miley Cyrus‘ friend and godmother Dolly Parton was on CNN‘s Larry King talking about today’s young stars, which of course included Miley. Dolly supports Miley, but says that she will also offer support to her if needed. She also touched on the topic of Taylor Swift. You can view the whole interview at the bottom of this post.
I will say that Dolly handled this well, even if she did sort skirt the question. But at least she offers Miley support if she ever needs it. However, you can tell that Dolly was nervous talking about such a close friend.
What do you think of Dolly’s thoughts on the whole Miley thing? Is she right that we should “just let her grow up”? I can see her point, Miley is trying to grow up in the spotlight and that has to be tough. However, do we really need another Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan? What did you think of her kind words about Taylor Swift? I think she hit it right on the head about her. She has a special quality to her that will keep her career lasting.

Dolly is the CEO of a big business and everything she said to Larry King was designed to suck up to her customers. She threw Miley Cyrus under the bus in pursuit of profits. And someone has gotten to her over the last few months because just a few months ago when asked about Miley, Dolly said, “I wish people would just leave her alone. I still remember how it was to be young and horny.” Yes, Dolly knows that Miley isn’t doing anything she didn’t do when she was 18, but Dolly is buckling under to the Christian rightwing here.
Dolly is basicly saying that the life style Miley is in right now is just fine with her. And if other teen girls follow in Miley’s foot steps, thats ok too. Such encouraging words from Dolly. And if Taylor want’s too date every guy out there, hey, no prob. Dolly did it too. So it’s ok.
