Demi Lovato has been replaced on the remaining dates of the Jonas Brothers South American tour. Demi’s replacement is Juliana Vasconcelos Póvoas, and she is already a well-known singer in South America. The 22-year-old singer and songwriter is better known as Julie. She is also a model, actress, presenter and Brazilian voice actress. In 1998, she appeared in TV shows Xuxa Park, Gente Inocente and Criança Esperança. Jullie landed her first starring role in Mais Uma Vez Amor, released in February 2005, interpreting the character Lia. In 2005, she began her career as a voice actress. She voiced many Brazilian versions of movies and TV series, including Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl and Katie in Total Drama Island.

Her debut album Hey! was released in September 22, 2009. Her career is actually quite comparable to Demi’s. She started on children’s TV shows, which evolved into a singing career.

Julie has even been dubbed “The Brazilian Katy Perry” by her fans, though she may now be called “The Brazilian Demi Lovato.” The two apparently favor one another quite a bit.

In the meantime, Demi continues to recuperate in a treatment facility, which she checked herself into a little over a week ago after abruptly leaving the Jonas Brothers’ tour due to “emotional and physical” issues.
