Ne-Yo the R&B singer is teaming up with the great comic mastermind Stan Lee to release and animated storybook to coincide with his next album, Libra Scale.  Joining forces with 87 year-old former Marvel president they have worked on a comic about a man called Jerome who is given superpowers but is banned from falling in love.

The first three singles from the album – “Beautiful Monster”, “Champagne Life”, and “One in a Million” will be turned into animated videos to continue the comic book story.  Ne-Yo has been commented that he has been a big fan of Lee’s and was excited to work with Lee and add both the comic and blend it with his R&B style.  Lee has also mentioned that he loves to add new elements that inspire him.

Libra Scale is scheduled to come out later this month.  Since Ne-Yo’s debut he has had five top ten songs on the Billboard Hot 100.  He has also amassed a catalog of chart-topping songs that he has written for other artists.  Ne-Yo has started his own production company with hopes of making a full-fledge record label of his own.  He has also debuted on the silver screen in Save the Last Dance 2 and Stomp the Yard and contributed songs to the soundtrack.
