Miley Cyrus’ Hit Song Party in the U.S.A. Wins An Award
One of Miley Cyrus‘ most popular songs ever is still gaining attention and awards. Her hit single Party in the U.S.A. won an ASCAP award. Well, the writer Jessica Cornish actually won-but still it is an honor for Miley to have sung an ASCAP award winning song.
I think we all knew that Party in the U.S.A. was one of Miley Cyrus’ largest single, but it is odd that it would win an award after it has been out for a little more than a year. However, this is exciting news for both Jessica and Miley‘s hit song. I also feel that this proves more people liked good girl Miley over her current style.
Are your surprised by this news? I was. I had no idea that a song that was older could win an award like this. Granted, I do not know how often ASCAP grants awards so that may be more normal to issue awards for older songs. Do you think they deserved to win?
