Lego Nickelodeon City Promo
Lego is teaming up with Nickelodeon in running a Lego City building campaign. All during November children will be asked to build models using their Lego City and then upload their photos to the Nickelodean website; www.nick.co.uk. The website will contain a clickable map of the British Isles. Children in the same region can view each other’s entries by clicking on the map.
One child from the UK and one child from Ireland will be chosen in the competition to star in a 40 second TV ad for Lego City and receive free products for their classmates. The senior brand manager for Lego Laura Di Bonaventura has been quoted that Lego City should receive marketing support by using the most innovative, creative and engaging means.
This campaign will allow children to enter their own City world. Children will be able to interact with the brand and really experience the core elements of building and creating. Lego City was first known as Lego Town, the Legoland and the World City. The theme was redesigned in 2004 and released in 2005. Each Lego set has several sub themes including; police, trains, airport, hospital and seasonal Advent Calendars. Lego Space Theme will be revived later next year and said to be along the same lines as Lego City.
