Glee To Cover Taylor Swift?

By on October 18, 2010

Fox’s hit TV show Glee is always covering popular singers, so this rumor comes to me as no surprise. According to some media outlets such as Zap2it is reporting that the show’s producers are contacting Taylor Swift and her team in order to have her appear on a future episode. Nothing is confirmed at this point, but she is friends with one of the Glee stars Cory Monteith.

This would be great promotion for both the show and of course Taylor’s new album. It could be a win-win situation for both of them. However, I get the feeling that if this episode does air that it will air very late in the season-if even it will be filmed this season.

If Taylor Swift does go on Glee, will you watch her on the show? I might, I would be curious on how a mostly pop music show can carry on country songs. It would make an interesting episode and I sort of hope that Taylor make a guest appearance on that episode as well.

First of all, Taylor Swift does not sing country music, she sings pop. And they already covered Carrie Underwood’s “Last Name” so obviously it knows how to cover country when needed.

I would totally love for Glee to showcase Taylor Swift’s songs. It would also be fun if she made an appearance! And FYI, Nate, she sings country/pop.
