Disneyland’s Star Tours 2 Pilot Announced

Disney has finally decided on a pilot for its new Star Tours ride, and it will be none other than C-3PO, that lovable fussy droid! I think he’ll make a great pilot.

The Disney people have been working hard on the launching of the new 3D Star Tours ride. It will be dubbed Star Tours: The Adventures Continue and will open on May 10, 2011 in Disneyland in Anaheim and on May 17th in Walt Disney World in Orlando. So the tour will be up and running by the time summer comes around.

In addition to C-3PO, the other Tour ride characters will be from the original Star Wars trilogy as well as the prequel trilogy. Some of the characters from the original trilogy who will be part of Star Tours 2 will include Chewbacca, R2-D2, Aqualish, Bith and many others. And characters like Naboo citizens and Geonosians from the prequel trilogy will also be a part of the tour ride, as it takes place after the events of Revenge of the Sith and before A New Hope.

Remember to put Star Tours: The Adventures Continue on your to-do list as part of your summer vacation plans, or maybe you want to check out it as soon as it opens and be one of the first to experience the new tour ride. Sounds like a great plan to me.
