Miley Cyrus – Award Winning Role Model
According to WENN, in an online poll Miley Cyrus was rated the third best celebrity role model. I’m guessing she made it into the top three based on her work with charities and non-profits, such as the Make a Wish Foundation and City of Hope, and not because of her work on her “Can’t Be Tamed” video. Bono came in tied with Miley, and they both got 16% of the vote.
Angelina Jolie won the top spot as Best Celebrity Role Model, and George Clooney came in second. Those two are hard to beat! The Jonas Brothers took fifth place. Out of all of the teen celebrities, who do you think is the best role model? I think being a good role model goes beyond just helping out charities, it’s about living life with integrity and being a good example. I have to say I think Demi Lovato is pretty good. She works hard, she has a great image, she acts her age, and you never hear about her staying up all night partying. Tell me who you would vote for!

Miley Cyrus is far from a positive role model. She did the topless Vanity Fair at age 15, she is gyrating with freaks in a simulated orgy in her video, she dressed like white trash when she met the queen, and she takes creepy suggestive pics with her dad…whatever happened to TAYLOR SWIFT?? She has never drank alcohol in her life, ( I do agree w/ you about Angelina…NOT a role model, but a good patriot)What about CARRIE UNDERWOOD?? ASHLEY TISDALE?? Those are great teen role models–even TYRA BANKS, but not Miley….she’s too frumpy and kinda trashy…

I think Demi’s boring to be honest with you. She annoys me sometimes and her music falls flat every now and then.
Despite what most people might believe I think Miley lives her life to the fullest, has a good attitude, and is just growing up the way she wants to. If she believes growing up is Cant Be Tamed, then so be it. Just because she’s showing a more sexy side like 99.9% of ALL teenagers in America, doesn’t mean she’s a **** or a bad role model.
I know I like to look good and feel good about myself and I’m a role model to my nieces and nephews who should be around the same age as Mileys younger fans, but they aren’t stupid and don’t repeat my mistakes.
It’s not up to me to tell my nieces and nephews how to act and dress appropriately. It’s their parents. And that goes for Mileys younger fans.
She’s smart talented beautiful and a good person and anyone who DOESNT like her shouldn’t reading articles and watching videos about her because you only succeed in making yourself look STUPID!

She HAD to do the charities to save her image…I’m sorry, but she just got done being “Hannah Montana” who Wal-Mart plasters all over the store, just bought my 9 yr. old all the Hannah Montana gear and spent a fortune–and my kid wants to see “Hannah Montana’s” new video…to little kids, thats who she is. She should get off the pole, and have a little class and ease her fans into her “transformation”. I about had heart failure when we watched “Cant be tamed”. My poor daughter,…she was horrified. “Why is she dancing like that with those weirdo’s Mommy?” ” Well, honey because she’s “Trashy Montana now.”

i don’t think miley deserves that spot at all because she does not even care about being a role model. her latest clothing choices, music, and media stunts have all been done with the exact purpose of undoing her role model status. the main group of people she was a “role model” for were kids, tweens,and teens, and she got tired of the pressure of being a “good girl” and did whatever she could to make it clear that she doesn’t care to set a good example for her younger audience.
If any teen star should be on this list, it’s selena gomez. she is extreamly popular, like miley, yet unlike miley selena makes a large effort to set a good example for her fans, because she actually cares that she is a role model for people. miley only won votes because her fan base voted for her because they’re, well, fans. not based on her demonsrating she is a good role model.
“Image” is not what the person is really like…rather an “image” is what has been created for the mass market in order to sell a product…report the facts and keep your personal opinions to yourself.

I think either Demi Lovato or Selena Gomez. Demi has that whole anti-bullying thing going one because she was bullyied in school, and Selena has gone over to Africa to help out over there. Now, I do know that Miley has donatated TONS of money to many organizations, but her good name is ruined anywhere else. The way she dresses, who she hangs out with, what her music videos are like. Demi and Selena have never dress/acted the way the new Miley is acting. She is setting a horrible example to her younger fans, and in the end, we will see the outcome.
