“Yogi Bear” Trailer Is Here!

The latest kid show turned movie franchise is Yogi Bear, the Hanna-Barbera classic about two bears in fictional Jellystone National Park who steal everyone’s lunches.  Yes, they’re going to eke an entire feature film out of that!  It’s live action with CGI Yogi, Boo Boo, and the gang.  In the film, Yogi and sidekick Boo Boo actually team up with arch nemesis Ranger Smith because the mayor has decided to sell Jellystone.  They’ve got to work together to save the park.

Yogi is voiced by Dan Aykroyd voices Yogi, and I thought it was one of his worse impersonations.  Yogi doesn’t really have that,well, Yogi, feel. Justin Timberlake voices Boo Boo and is spot on.  It sounds just like I remember Boo Boo sounding from the series!  Tom Cavanagh, the dad from How To Eat Fried Worms, plays Ranger Smith and his character seems a little younger and less strict than the ranger from the series.  After seeing the trailer, I’m probably going to wait for the Redbox.  Yogi Bear will hit theaters on December 17, 2010, just in time for Christmas.  Are you a Yogi fan?
