Vampires Suck Opens Second at Box Office

Sylvester Stallone’s latest movie, The Expendables, took top honors at the box office this weekend, while Julia Robert’s movie, Eat Pray Love, rolled down to third place.  Of more interest to us here at BSCkids is that the Twilight parody Vampires Suck beat out Julia, coming in at second place, with a respectable $12.2 million over the weekend ($18.6 million from its mid-week debut).

It was a surprise to me seeing a spoof is in second place!  Usually spoofs and satires drag in at the bottom of the chart. I guess vampires really are yesterday’s news.  But I already knew that when they started making Twilight Barbies.
