Playhouse Disney loves to give back to their fans.  One way is by announcing a child’s birthday, along with their name and posting it on the air for everyone to see.  This would be a great surprise for your little brothers and sisters – or enter yourself!  All you have to do is is call in during your birthday month and tell Mickey (or whoever answers the phone) how old you’ll be.  Next thing you know, you’ll be famous!  Well, at least your name will be on TV.

Lots of places do freebies and promotions for birthdays, whether it’s crazy songs at a restaurant, free cupcakes, or some other perk.  What’s your favorite birthday freebie?  Would you call in to get on Playhouse Disney?

Zac Efron is working on a new movie, The Lucky One, based on a Nicholas Sparks novel.   In the movie, he plays aveteran of three tours of duty who credits his lucky stint on a woman in a photograph – who happens to be a complete stranger.  Of course casting that woman was a high priority and it’s been announced the the role has finally been filled.

Taylor Schilling, who plays Nurse Veronica on NBC’s series Mercy, will play the woman in the photo.  Taylor’s career is really blooming, she also just wrapped up production on the long awaited movie Atlas Shrugged, based on Ayn Rand’s iconic novel.  Rumor has it she beat Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron out for the role.  If she has those kind of acting chops I’m sure she’ll hold her own opposite Zac!

Taylor Swift has a new album and single, but she can hardly wait to talk about it. So she went to Entertainment Tonight to dish on it. You can see it at the bottom of this post.

I love that fact that she seems really proud and excited of her new work. I think that is a sign of a future hit for her and I think we will likely hear a lot more from her in the upcoming months. I cannot wait to hear about the first week of sales.

I sort of do, since she can grow and still keep her fan base happy-she should. She should try to have a total crossover album from country music to pop and I think that she would be surprised by how well it would go. I think she has enough talent for that. What do you think?

Rupert Grint, costar of the box-office smash hit series Harry Potter, confirmed recently that there will be a new Potter tourist attraction in London.  The special effects studio where much of the movies real life FX magic occurred will be converted into a theme park.  Leavesden Studio will be open to the public and offer tours of the sets.

Rupert had a meet-and-greet last Monday, the day before his 22nd birthday, and he let a special secret slip.  “We used to write on the walls and they’re actually re-creating and turning the studio in an attraction, actually recreating all the rooms so you can go in them,” he said.  You might be able to see Harry’s real life scribbles if you keep an eye out!  Are you a Potter fan?  Which movie is your favorite?

The Jonas Brothers are just 3 of the stars in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, but do not allow that to make you think that they did not learn anything from the experience. In the video below, they talk about what they learned from the filming process.

I love the fact that they admit that they are still learning from their work. I think that they are showing even after being professionals that you can and will still learn no matter what. I think that is a good message to send out to their young fans. What do you think? Do you think they should write a book based on what they learned?

Disney stars Dylan and Cole Sprouse, who play Zack and Cody on the hit series Suite Life on Deck, finally got a plum celebrity assignment: the Got Milk? commercial.  I found video of the shoot just for you!  Dylan and Cole both say they love milk in real life, and even though their shown with a small half gallons in the picture they each require their own gallon at home!

For the shoot the twins had to pour milk on each other’s cereal, from behind their brother’s back, without looking.  It was quite a challenge as you can see.  The tagline plays on the brother’s being twins:

“Double the goodness. Milk doesn’t just taste good, it’s good for you. That’s why low fat milk is always on our family’s table. So while we’re goofing around at breakfast, we’re also getting the protein and vitamin D in milk. And that’s twice as nice.”

The video is very interesting, but then again I enjoy tours of people’s homes. They have a nice and dare I even say fancy home? But then again they do make a lot of money, so I guess they can if that is what they want. I would picture though that they would live a little more simple than they do.

But they do live in a much better home than the cabin they use in their new movie, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Though I think most would hope that they would live a nicer life than the camp they stay in for the movie. What do you think of their home? Disney has been extending their brand, offering a maternity line and a couture collection.  Now they’ve partnered with MAC cosmetics to offer a makeup line based on the baddest of Disney villains.  The collection is based on four Disney bad guys – Cruella DeVille, Maleficent, The Evil Queen, and Dr. Facilier.  Well, I get the choice of beautiful but deadly Maleficent, and the flamboyantly stylish Cruella, but Dr. Facilier seems a little bit odd for women’s makeup.

The collection features bold, strong colors and metallic finishes.  You’ll also find the cartoon characters covering the compacts and lipstick tubes, which could become a status symbol or be a little too second-grader, depending on the trends.  The Venomous Villains collection will hit MAC stores on Sept. 30.

Selena Gomez’s fashion line Dream Out Loud is now out nation wide and they recently released their first TV commercial. The ad features Selena in it, so be sure to keep your eye out for her in it. You can see the whole commercial at the bottom of this post.

I like the commercial, and we previously showed you some photos and video of the shoot for this commercial-which really gave us a peak at what to expect. I think the concept for it works well with the style of her clothes. They really show how they can work for both play and school.

What do you think of the commercial? Does Selena Gomez’s fashion line impress you or disappoint you? I like it a lot and love the fact that she is selling it at K-Mart and not at Wal-Mart. Very refreshing for a change and will allow her fans to have access at great styles for less money. I hope her upcoming collections for this line are just as good as this one.

Mitchel Musso is known for his work with the Disney channel, starring in the new XD series Pair of Kings as well as his costarring role on the ever popular Hannah Montana.  He’s also branching out into music, and spent the summer giving concerts at Six Flags amusement parks across the country.
