Zac Efron in “Parade” Magazine

Zac Efron was featured in Parade magazine, including a photo shoot.  The pics are a little retro and he’s staged to look a lot like original bad boy James Dean.

Zac talked a bit about taking chances with his new movie, Charlie St. Cloud, but also revealed his favorite things to do in the summertime.  He’s adventurous, and loves to bike and surf.  One of his favorite shows is the survival show Man vs. Wild, because Zac likes roughing it in the forest.   He told “Parade”:

I like to backpack, filter my own water, make a fire. But I bring packaged food—I’m not setting squirrel traps.”

He says his girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, also likes to have fun but she’s busy hitting the stage as Mimi in Rent so it looks like Zac will be adventuring alone for a little while.  Check out the video from the photoshoot!
