Pixar Plots For New Muppets Movie

Disney is currently developing a live action Muppets movie, but the new management has asked animation powerhouse Pixar to weigh in on the script.  The director and principals of The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made flew to the legendary Pixar headquarters for a sit down with all the big names at Pixar, including John Lasseter.  Shooting is supposed to start this fall for a Christmas 2011 release, so they better get those story problems solved quickly!

That might be a good move.  The Muppets have been beloved by generations of fans, and the last thing Disney wants to do is mess that up.  Also, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time didn’t do so well at the box office, so Disney badly needs a hit.  Let’s hope some Pixar magic rubs off on Kermit and the gang because the last thing we need is another bad Muppet movie.
