New Material Girl Taylor Momsen

Taylor Momsen,who plays Jenny Humphrey on “Gossip Girl” just picked up a new gig as the face of Madonna’s new fashion line, Material Girl.  Madonna, along with her 13 year old daughter Lourdes Leon, designed the line which will be available through Macy’s.  Look for leather, studs, floral prints, and short skirts!

It’s a lot edgier than the more basic celebrity junior collections from stars such as Miley Cyrus and the Olsen Twins.  I think that will suit Momsen just fine.  She was famously passed over for the role of Hannah Montana and later came out blasting Miley Cyrus and other Disney darlings, saying “I think the Disney bubblegum [stuff] that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression.”
