Justin Bieber to Guest Star on CBS CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

As reported over at BSCreview among other sites, Justin Bieber will be guest-starring in the season premiere of the OG version of CSI.  He will be playing Jason McCann “a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother—a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs. It is the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season.” 

Is this just for the Justin Bieber name or will this kid be able to act?  We saw this with Demi Lovato over on Grey’s Anatomy where she just knocked the socks off of every body with her performance.  The question that I had before and I have here is if you are a younger audience Demi or Justin fan do your parents even let you watch them on a show like this?  I know for me that would be a very tough call.  So who is this really appealing to?  I guess the older tweens and probably their parents as it allows them to watch something together.  Hey remember Will Smith and his acting work?  Well you may be witness to such a music, television, movie savant in the making.  If you are going to allow Demi and Justin to have a smooth transition from teen star to adult star this is a good way to go about it.  You get them on adult shows as children and keep everyone on their toes so they can not be type cast so much.  I mean with Miley Cyrus she was synonymous with Hannah Montana and I think that made it more difficult for her.
