Alexander And The Terrible Day Movie coming

Jul - 29 2010 | Lisa Stauber | no comments

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is being remade for the big screen, and it’s rumored that Shawn Levy will be directing.  Shawn did the Night at the Museum movies as well as Cheaper By The Dozen, The Pink Panther, and Big Fat Liar so he obviously knows his stuff when it comes to entertaining kids!  This follows a trend in Hollywood lately to adapt children’s books, with a built in audience, to the big screen.  Next year, there will be a Berenstein Bears and Sweet Valley High movie, Selena Gomez is currently starring in the film adaptation of Ramona and Beezus, and no one could forget Where The Wild Things Are even though I would like to.

Alexander is about, well, a terrible, horrible, no good day.  It’s a beloved children’s book that’s been around since the 70s.  Your parents probably had it read to them!  What’s your favorite children’s book?
