Jun - 29 2010 | Jay Tomio | no comments |

This is just a quick note to let fans (and future fans that don’t know it yet) that they are going to get more of ABC Family’s new show Pretty Little Liars – which stars Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson Holly Marie Combs, Troian Bellisario and Chad Lowe – this season, as the network has now ordereda dozen more episodes to the ten that we were previously scheduled to get in the first place. Last week’s episode reached almost 3 million viewers, an actual increase from the pilot. The next episode, titled ‘Can You Hear Me Now?’ airs tonight.

Check out the press release from ABC below:

ABC FAMILY ORDERS ADDITIONAL EPISODES OF “PRETTY LITTLE LIARS”

The Original One-Hour Scripted Drama, Which Launched as the Highest-Rated
Original Series Debut in the Network’s History in Early June, Continues to Grow
In Ratings Throughout Its First Three Episodes

Burbank, CA (June 28, 2010) – ABC Family has ordered 12 additional episodes of the network’s hit one-hour series, “Pretty Little Liars,” announced Kate Juergens, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Development. The order will bring the show’s first season to a total of 22 episodes.

“‘Pretty Little Liars’ is a break-out hit for the network,” said Juergens. “We’re thrilled that our Millennial viewers have responded so strongly to the show. It’s a perfect fit with the network’s strong slate of original scripted dramas, including ‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager’ and ‘Make It or Break It.’”

One of cable’s biggest breakout hits of summer, “Pretty Little Liars” launched as ABC Family’s No. 1 series debut ever in Adults 18-34 (837,000), Women 18-34 (657,000), Viewers 12-34 (1.7 million), Females 12-34 (1.5 million), Teens (904,000) and Female Teens (853,000). “Pretty Little Liars” posted its most-watched episode yet last week (June 22) in Total Viewers (2.7 million), and delivered series highs in key targets, including core 18-49, 18-34 and 12-34 demos. Three episodes in, “Pretty Little Liars” is already Tuesday’s No. 1 TV program in Females Teens (803,000) and Tuesday’s No. 1 cable program in Teens (883,000), Viewers 12-34 (1.7 million) and Females 12-34 (1.5 million). It is easily the top cable program in Tuesday’s 8 o’clock hour among core 18-49, 18-34, 12-34 demos, Teens and Female Teens, besting runner-up USA by 43% in Adults 18-49 (1.2 million vs. 837,000) and by 90% in Adults 18-34 (843,000 vs. 444,000).

Based on the bestselling Harper Teen novels by Sara Shepard and produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television, the scripted hour-long series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Holly Marie Combs, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Bianca Lawson, Laura Leighton, Chad Lowe, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse.

Set one year after the disappearance of Alison (Pieterse), the manipulative and vindictive queen bee of the group, the series revolves around four 16-year-old girlfriends — Aria (Hale), Spencer (Bellisario), Hanna (Benson), and Emily (Mitchell) — who have lost touch with one another until each begins to receive mysterious messages suggesting that Alison is watching them. Linked by their former bond and the panic and confusion the enigmatic messages cause, the friends are suddenly reunited, though each girl has her own secrets – secrets she wants no one else to know.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Teen Choice Kiss favorites?

Jun - 29 2010 | Jay Tomio | 2 comments |

They have to be the favorites right? Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart won a similar award at the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month. Another wave of Teen Choice nominees were released, and included among them were the those vying for the ever prestigious Choice Liplock and Choice Chemistry categories, both of which have the Twilight duo nominated. Remember, the duo also took home the Cutest Couple category at this year’s Kid’s Choice awards. Do you think Edward and Bella they are going to take home this one? Like in all things, Pattinson has some competition from team-Jacob, or should I say team-Taylor, as Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift are among their competition for their work in Valentine’s Day.

You will be able to find out who takes home that and all of the rest of the awards (keep checking out the official site for all of them) on August 9th at (8:00-10:00 P.M. ET/PT) when it airs live on Fox, an event hosted by pop star and California Gurl Katy Perry. Speaking of Twilight, the third chapter, Eclipse, comes out tomorrow, and BSC has been keeping you up to date, including two new pics of Pattinson and Stewart together! Eclipse comes out tomorrow and we have the latest clip, which all out vampire/werewolf action directed by David slade!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows trailer – watch it before Eclipse!

Jun - 29 2010 | Jay Tomio | no comments |

So you can’t wait two days to watch the new trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on the big screen that’s attached Twilight Eclipse (which BTW we posted new stills from over at BSC–featuring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and another for Team Jacob Fans–not to mention an action packed clip!). So here it is! We knew the screenshots from this trailer that we posted yesterday, and that you’ve been waiting for it ever since BSCkids brought you the word that by tuning into ABC Family last night (during the debut of their new series, Huge). The stills we got were pretty awesome, and we get to see them in context here in this trailer. I think it looks great, though some comments both here and at BSC seem concerned at the the violent/dark tone of the movie. While I think this would naturally get more ‘darker’ in tone, I don’t think we have to worry about Warner Bros. putting this film out of reach of the young base.

The first part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will hit theaters on November 19th, to be followed up the next Summer to end the series! Now that I think about it, maybe you do want to go see Eclipse just to see the trailer in the theater!

What’s it About?

Part 1 begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality and destruction—the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart.

Meanwhile, the wizarding world has become a dangerous place for all enemies of the Dark Lord. The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort’s Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them. But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter. The Chosen One has become the hunted one as the Death Eaters search for Harry with orders to bring him to Voldemort… alive.

Harry’s only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort finds him. But as he searches for clues, he uncovers an old and almost forgotten tale—the legend of the Deathly Hallows. And if the legend turns out to be true, it could give Voldemort the ultimate power he seeks.

Little does Harry know that his future has already been decided by his past when, on that fateful day, he became “the Boy Who Lived.” No longer just a boy, Harry Potter is drawing ever closer to the task for which he has been preparing since the day he first stepped into Hogwarts: the ultimate battle with Voldemort.

Disney Channel Hannah Montana Forever promo

Jun - 28 2010 | Lisa Stauber | 6 comments |

Hannah Montana Forever promos have been airing on the Disney Channel, and someone was thoughtful enough to record it in case you haven’t had a chance to see it.  This season will follow Hannah who’s finally a senior!  Looks like a ton of fun.

Hannah Montana Forever premieres July 11 at 8/7 Central on the Disney Channel.  Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus will be promoting her Can’t Be Tamed album, which has been controversial and definitely a departure from Hannah’s more wholesome image.  She’s not going on tour, but has been performing on as many TV shows as she can book.

Do you like her new album?

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Dance Rehersal

Jun - 28 2010 | Sarah Peel | no comments |

This September Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam will air on the Disney Channel, but they have many videos being released to support it this summer and here is the newest. In this video you will see the cast of Camp Rock practice dancing with their choreographer so that they all dance insync with one and another. You can see the video at the bottom of this post.

I like it, I think it shows that they put a lot of hard work and long hours into perfecting the craft. This is not an easy job and for a large group to be able to do it on cue is even harder. But this also shows a fun side and that they are dedicated to their job. I think any Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam fan will enjoy seeing this and I know that I have a whole new appreciation for their hard work.

For more Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, check out the “It’s On” music video. You can also meet a few new costars of Demi and the Jonas Brothers. Now for the newest promo video.

5 Questions for Miley Cyrus

Jun - 28 2010 | Lisa Stauber | 1 comment |

Miley Cyrus answered five questions recently and we’ve got the video!  The questions are all about Miley’s favorite things.

Find out what her favorite band is, what’s the best song to get a party going, and what she loves to watch.  Hint: It’s not the Disney Channel!   She picked out an Academy Award winner as her favorite actress.  Can you guess who makes Miley laugh and cry?

It cracks me up that her favorite website is dedicated to badly dressed people when critics have trashed her outfits over and over again.  Hope she doesn’t ever show up on that site!  What website has she been hitting?  Watch and find out!

Ashley Tisdale Cheers Hellcats on CW

Jun - 28 2010 | Lisa Stauber | no comments |

Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka will be starring in a new show on the CW.  Hellcats is about a group of cheerleaders and all of their drama – a perfect fit for CW!  Ashley is a Disney darling, starring in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, voicing Phineas and Ferb,  and acting in the High School Musical franchise.  Aly has been in a few shows, most notably Phil of the Future.

Ashley’s not your typical dumb blonde cheerleader – she’s a brunette in this show, just like her character Sharpay from High School Musical.  Speaking of Sharpay, Ashley’s also filming a series for the Disney channel reprising her role. Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventures will air in 2011 and follows Sharpay to New York as she seeks to become a star.

Catch a peek of the new series!

Brenda Song Covergirl for Malaysia Seventeen

Jun - 28 2010 | Lisa Stauber | no comments |

Brenda Song is the covergirl for the Malaysian imprint of Seventeen magazine.  She talks about how much she loves acting (and she’s got a long resume to prove it), and how glad she is that Asian-American actors and actresses are becoming more prevalent, and not necessarily put on screen just to do kung-fu.

Brenda plays the delightfully dipsy London Tipton in the Disney Channel’s The Suite Life on Deck and has three movies in post-production this year, including one all about how Facebook got started.  Social Network is a little racy for a Disney star, but Brenda is 21 years old and ready for more grown up films.  Social Network hits theaters on Oct. 1. You can check out the small picture below.

The Soup Talks About Miley Cyrus

Jun - 28 2010 | Sarah Peel | no comments |

Miley Cyrus has done more than a few interviews, but how many times does she say “y’know” or “like” in them? Well this clip that was featured on The Soup does and they get plenty of laughs because of it. You can watch the video below for a few laughs.

I find it funny and it proves that indeed that she still is very much the same Miley Cyrus that she was just 2 years ago. I also love the fact that they said they were sorry in the end for freezing a not her best photo ever, but it was the thought that counts. I still think that even her biggest fans will not be able to help but laugh at this video.

For more of Miley Cyrus videos, check out her Ryan Seacrest interview and see what she told him. You can also see when she was on David Letterman’s show if you twice the fun. Next is the clip from The Soup
