Robert Pattinson – Twilight Star’s Art Helps Kids
Robert Pattinson, one of the stars of the Twilight Saga film franchise (and was in Harry Potter!) is lending his fame to a good cause, teaming up with PACT’s (Parents and Abducted Children Together) to raise money to help missing children. Autographed original art by Pattinson will be auctioned off on Ebay among contributions from other stars. Pattinson is of course set to star in June’s Twilight Eclipse, the third film in the series. You can get more information about PACT at their website:
PACT’s initial mission was to fight parental child abduction across frontiers by raising awareness of a growing, but little-known, problem and by advocating solutions.
Parental child abduction remains at the forefront of PACT’s concerns. But it has broadened its mission to include the location and retrieval of all children, who go missing.
In the UK, PACT works closely with the police, the government, and other non-profit organisations to meet this challenge. Much of PACT’s work is based on techniques successfully deployed in the US to help bring missing children safely home. PACT’s vision is truly international.
PACT now operates on a broad front. It is influential in advocacy, policy-making and research. All this work is targeted on one goal: to find answers to the tragedy of the thousands of children who go missing or are abducted every year.
