There is an interesting documentary that will be opening on Mother’s Day this year, it is called Babies, with the tagline of Everyone loves . . . Babies

The adventure of a lifetime begins…

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Thomas Balmès, from an original idea by producer Alain Chabat, Babies simultaneously follows four babies around the world – from birth to first steps. The children are, respectively, in order of on-screen introduction: Ponijao, who lives with her family near Opuwo, Namibia; Bayarjargal, who resides with his family in Mongolia, near Bayanchandmani; Mari, who lives with her family in Tokyo, Japan; and Hattie, who resides with her family in the United States, in San Francisco.

Re-defining the nonfiction art form, Babies joyfully captures on film the earliest stages of the journey of humanity that are at once unique and universal to us all.

A Focus Features presentation of a Chez Wam/StudioCanal co-production with the participation of Canal +. Babies. Executive Producers, TBC Productions, Chez Wam. Original Idea, Alain Chabat. Adapted by Thomas Balmès. Edited by Craig McKay, A.C.E., Reynald Bertrand. Produced by Alain Chabat, Amandine Billot, Christine Rouxel. Music by Bruno Coulais. Directed by Thomas Balmès. A Focus Features Release.

It seems like it would pretty interesting to see the cultural differences among the babies as well as the funny moments that get caught on camera with parents and child.  I wish I had a film crew to follow my kids around, they do some pretty amazing stuff.  Maclaren has partnered with “Babies” and you can see a clip with Mari in a Maclaren Quest Sport below.  So do you think you will go see the movie?  It is nice that it will be debuting on Mother’s Day and should be cute.  If you do see it come back and let us know what you thought about it.

They also have some pretty cool prize packages and you can check them out below as well.  BSCkids should have a review of some Maclaren items later in the summer, but until then check out all the ways to win below.

To celebrate this amazing new film and encourage people to see it, Maclaren is proud to partner with “Babies” to provide great prize packages for promotions across the U.S., as well as movie tickets to patrons in our Metro NY showrooms. We’ll also give away tickets to the film on Facebook (Maclaren Baby) and Twitter (@MaclarenUSA), which will contain fun facts and other information about babies and the film.

You can participate to win great prizes, including a Maclaren Kate Spade Buggy-Biarritz, and keep up with the latest on the film:
