You know you are big time like Miley Cyrus when a short preview of your music video is news, but here we are with a very short clip of the Miley Cyrus “Can’t Be Tamed” music video.  It seems that E! News will have the world video premiere on Tuesday at 7 and 11:30.  It seems to be Central Time so you do not miss it check your listings.  You can check out the clip below

Miley Cyrus looks all sorts of done up in the few brief seconds we see her and I am sure that this video was one super huge production.  Will be interesting to watch once the full video comes out.  You can check out a recent Miley Cyrus performance she did for the Make a Wish Foundation here.

Justin Bieber rocks Sean Kingston – Eenie Meenie video

Apr - 30 2010 | Damon Cap | 5 comments |

Justin Bieber is featured in the Sean Kingston – “Eenie Meenie” video and you can check out the young Bieber getting his mini mack game on.  I love the Audi R8 that Kingston drives up in, I think that is one of the best cars ever, but let me get back on topic.  Sean Kingston has that singer, rapper, reggae fusion type of style that works perfect with Justin Bieber and his singing.  Whoever produced this made a great decision to include Justin and get all of his fans vibing to the song.

I think it works well for Justin Bieber fans, but it may be a bit too much of the mack style in the video for Justin.  Check out the video below “Eenie Meenie” with Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber and let us know what you think.

Disney’s Hero Squad: Ultraheroes #2 – review

Apr - 30 2010 | PLMII | no comments |

disney ultra heroes

Mickey Mouse seemingly discovers the location of Scrooge McDuck’s missing money bin, only to find that a tropical wilderness stands in his way! Meanwhile, two battles for the Ultrapods ensue as the Red Bat matches wits (as best he can) with the Phantom Blot, while Iron Gus contends with the Richly Evil Roller Dollar…a battle that Gus seems to be taking lying down…

Issue #2 continues the Utlrapod story and the Origin of Super Goof. This book is just great fun and I am hooked. It’s great writing that is both comical and thrilling, and  should keep any child’s attention.  My favorite character has to be the Red Bat, whose costume is actually blue. He tries to be serious but his results are often slapstick and sometimes work to his disadvantage. This episode was fast paced and once more littered with so many great Disney characters. Each character in the series is awesome and I wish this book was bigger (about 100 pages) because its is down right fun and eye candy.

The Super Goof origin story was a riot and really reminded me of old time comic books and the fun they brought to me as a kid. The old time comic art used for this story is just too cool. The writers have taken their time to develop these Disney superheroes and they are a hit! I really hope they do more origin stories because the first one was really top notch. As I read these comics memories fill my head of old time Disney cartoons and the joy they brought me as a child. I think this is a great title that comic fans can share with their kids. It also might allow them a trip down memory lane, and there is nothing wrong with that!

Miley Cyrus performs for Make a Wish Foundation

Apr - 29 2010 | Damon Cap | no comments |

Miley Cyrus performed at the Grove in the state of California April 28th for the Make a Wish Foundation, World Wish Day.  She say a fitting song, “The Climb”, and based on the video the crowd went nuts.

I love the fact when such huge stars like Miley Cyrus go out of their way to make the world a better place, using their fame for the greater good.  You can watch the video below, and if you happened to be there in person let us know how it was, cause it just doesnt look the same with the choppy video, but hey I can’t be too picky I was not there and she sounded great.

You can also check out a picture Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment from behind the scenes at Hannah Montana.

Disney’s Hero Squad: Ultraheroes #1 – review

Apr - 29 2010 | PLMII | no comments |

disney ultraheroes

Bursting from the pages of Walt Disney’s Comics and Boom! comes Disney’s Hero Squad in its own ongoing series! Super Goof! The Duck Avenger! Eega Beeva! The Red Bat! Disney’s mightiest in their own book, because you demanded it!

Eega Beeva and the UltraHeroes have been a in a race against Emil Eagle and the Sinister 7 to recover the Sevenltrapods, the components necessary for rebuilding the Ultramachine—A device that could give its owner the power to rule the world. Thus far, the UltraHeroes are in a dead heat with their evil counterparts as both sides have recovered two ultrapods each. Meanwhile, Mickey’s investigation into the mysterious disappearance of Scrooge McDuck and his money bin has lead him to the Ponga Islands.

I am a huge comic book fan, and I love all things Disney. Most comic books today are written for older audiences. While there is nothing wrong with that, it would seem strange because comics have always been a kid’s fancy.

With a new baby on the way, I find myself looking for things my future, young reader might enjoy one day and that also give me the assurance, they are not viewing topics beyond their age group. BOOM! studios and Disney have hit the mark. This a great story with wonderful Disney characters set in a superhero setting. I truly enjoyed the first tale of the UltraHeroes and found Super-Goof’s origin tale a throwback to the Golden Age of Comics. The real treat is having so many Disney characters packed into one comic, I love that the writers threw in my favorite, Scrooge McDuck. Sure, it’s a bit innocent for the older and hard core comic reader, but this title is accessible to both young boys and girls. The writers smartly included Daisy Duck as an UltraHeroes member. The art was bright and fun, while the story was reminiscent of an old school cliffhanger. Here is a comic truly for the young and “young of heart”.

Emily Osment talks Hannah Montana – New Single – Soda Pop Tour

Apr - 28 2010 | Damon Cap | no comments |

Emily Osment took to Youtube to talk about her new single, the final three episodes of Hannah Montana with Miley Cyrus, as well as the Soda Pop Tour.  You can check out the dates for Emily Osment in America and if you live in Canada you can check out the Soda Pop Tour website for the dates.  It must be tough saying goodbye to Hannah Montana and a bit scary for Emily as well.  I wonder if she will do as well with her music when she is off the show, or if being off the show will allow her to express herself more in her music without having to worry about what others might think?  Miley and Emily seem to have a lot of fun on the set of the show and you can check out this fun picture Emily Osment put on twitter.
