Hannah Montana Forever – Miley Cyrus Promises!

Yesterday, Hannah Montana fans saw a commercial featuring Miley Cyrus assuring them quite simply, “Hannah Montana Forever”. According to Lalate, this is not a promise of life beyond Season 4, which kicks off this July on the Disney Channel and is reportedly the swan song season for Cyrus and the show. There seems to be some confusion about the TV spot (see below), but I’m not seeing it, just seems like a rather standard promo for season 4 to me.
Miley has been in the news quite a bit this week with a new film – The Last Song – coming out at the end of the month (literally, March 31st!). She was also joined by her father in filming a special episode for military families (real heroes!).
Should there be a more Hannah past season 4?
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth chat The Last Song on Ustream
Ustream is such a cool idea and yesterday Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were part of the technology chatting about their upcoming movie, The Last Song. The actors get to answer questions about the movie and themselves while the public gets to watch it live. Everything always seems to be more fun when it is live, the video is a bit choppier than I would like, but I have not had much exposure to Ustream so maybe that is the way the video comes out. We sure do get to learn a lot more about Miley.
There are three videos of the chat, and remember to check out the movie which comes to theaters on March 31st. You can see the TV Teaser and Featurette on our post here and also check out the Miley Cyrus and Nicholas Sparks post .

Demi Lovato and Raven Symone together on Sonny with a Chance
Some exciting news for Sonny with a Chance fans, you will get to see Demi Lovato and Raven Symone together on an upcoming episode of Sonny with a Chance. This news comes from Raven-Symone.org and it is great to see Raven back on the Disney Channel, especially when she is guest staring on one of my new favorite Disney Channel shows.
Hey Guys,GUESS WHAT?! Raven’s manager sent me some exciting news today!
(1) Raven will be staring in a NEW movie this year. It’s running title is called “Revenge of the Bridesmaids” for ABC Family, She will start filming that movie next month in New Orleans, LA! No air date has been set yet.
(2) She will ALSO be doing a guest spot on… ready for it?… SONNY WITH A CHANCE staring Demi Lovato.
That’s So Raven was awesome back a few years ago when it was on, I loved Raven and thought that Orlando Brown as Eddie and Anneliese van der Pol as Chelsea did a great job in supporting roles. The show also spun off Cory In the House with Kyle Massey as Cory Baxter.

Dr. Seuss Apps by Oceanhouse Media – Review
After the piece I wrote about The Cat In the Hat by Dr. Seuss for the iPhone, the maker of the product, Oceanhouse Media, reached out to me to review some of their apps.
Dr. Seuss’s ABC- This is the perfect app for a variety of ages because the apps allows you to select one of two modes for reading the e-book. “Read to Me” allows you to listen to the narrated story and “Read it Myself” allows you to read the book without narration. Once my kids got wind of this app on my iPod Touch I was without my device for a very long time. My 6 year old liked to read it himself but was also very much about interacting with the pictures and custom audio. My 4 year old liked having it read to him, and voice of the lady narrator fits perfectly with what I would expect for this book. I can not get over how well the narration is done. You can flip the pages by swiping the screen which also makes it easy for a younger child to use. I think I will also find this useful with the new baby once she makes her appearance as it will be nice to have this in the car with a fussy baby. My hope is that once the iPad comes out we can transfer our apps because this is one I would love to have on a larger screen as well. Also note that this app is based on the complete book not the shorter ABC board book.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas!- This is an interested app because when my first son was born they were showing the animated show on television. So every Christmas we always spend a fair amount of time trying to find our copy of the book so we can read it. This will be nice because I always know where my iPod Touch is. Plus I think the boys will enjoy reading it over and over around the holidays as well. Once again the narration blew me away with the quality and the matching of voice to story and actually matching the narration of the animated show as well. The interaction of the background audio along with the pan & zoom of the pages take this way beyond the realm of a normal e-book.
Dr. Seuss Camera – The Grinch Edition- While I do not have an iPhone with a camera, I do have a bunch of pictures loaded on my iPod Touch. This app allows you to make “Grinchmas Cards” by putting you in the card. You can then email the cards to your friends and family. You can also zoom your picture in and out to make sure it fits. I made my older son be the face of the Grinch and he loved it. The boys got a little carried away by putting each other as Cindy-Lou Who, but they had fun! I am going to make sure to use this one as the holidays get closer and send email cards out to everyone.
You can check out the video below and order it from the iPhone App Store and be sure to check out the Oceanhouse Media website where they have “Apps that uplift, educate and inspire.” I would fully agree with their motto!
Two ways to read this e-book:
- “Read to Me” — listen to the narrated story with words highlighted as they are read
- “Read it Myself” — read the book in its traditional form
Additional Features:
- Picture / Word association — words zoom up and are spoken when pictures are touched
- Professional audio narration
- Custom background audio for each scene
- Pages pan & zoom to accentuate the beautiful, original art of Dr. Seuss

Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2010 – Vote!
Only fourteen days and a few hours left to vote so head on over to the Kids’ Choice Awards website and cast your vote for 2010. Some tough choices. Favorite TV Show for me was a tough call between Sonny With A Chance and Wizards of Waverly Place. I decide to go with Wizards. Favorite TV Actress also made me pause, Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez? I went with Selena. I made up for it when I voted for Miley for Favorite Female Singer. The only other one that was a tough choice was Wii Sports Resort vs Mario Kart, I went with Wii Sports Resort.
Remember to tun in on March 27th at 8 PM to watch the show and also catch the premiere of Victorious which follows the Kids’ Choice Awards. So who did you vote for, tell us in the comments?

Miley Cyrus tapes special Hannah Montana episode with Military Families
Miley Cyrus and her father Billy Ray Cyrus filmed a special episode of Hannah Montana on Friday where the viewing audience was filled with military families. The inspired episode celebrates miliary families and presents the unifying theme of “celebrate your family.” The guests were invited to appear in the episode and videotape greetings to their parents many of which are deployed. I think it is great that Miley and the Disney Channel do events like this, you know how much that the youth look up towards Miley and the fact she can give back is a great story.
Madison Pettis, who I remember from Cory in the House, was also on hand as her brother just returned from serving in Iraq. She tweeted “As you know, my brother just returned from a year of duty in Iraq. I can’t wait to meet all the military families today at the taping! So honored to be a part of the very special taping of Hannah Montana! Thanks Disney Channel!”
SoI am really looking forward to this last season with Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana and can not wait to see this episode. You can also check out some more information on Miley Cyrus and her movie, The Last Song which hits theaters on March 31st here.
