Justin Bieber isn’t the only one on The View this week! Miley Cyrus drops in on The View as this week the shows seems like the chosen venue for young pop stars to hold court. Miley was promoting her next film, The Last Song, which comes out on March 31st. She stars in the Disney film with Liam Hemsworth, and as you know, BSCkids has been all over coverage of the movie for you!

Just earlier today we brought you a clip featuring Lia playing some beach volleyball (with Miley as a very interested spectator). The Last Song is based off of the novel by bestselling author Nicholas Sparks and directed by Julie Anne Robinson, who surrounded Miley and Liam with a cast that includes Greg Kinnear and Kelly Preston.

That’s not all! Miley recently appeared in a promo for the fourth season of the Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana and was the covergirl for Parade Magazine.

Earlier this month we told you that Miley Cyrus and the rest of the Hannah Montana crew filmed a special episode for U.S. military families. The episode will air in Season 4 in August (speaking of which, see what Miley promises), and in this interview with
EdMagikTV Emily talks about why this episode is even more special than usual, centering on the concept of “celebrating your family”. She also reminds us that her new EP is out and promises she will have some announcements about her post-Hannah Montana career very soon (which BSCkids will bring you as soon as we hear about them!)

Last month, we posted the schedule for Osment’s ongoing Clap Your Hands tour which runs to May.

Another clip from the Miley Cyrus starring The Last Song, this one focusing on her co-star Liam Hemsworth, playing some beach volleyball, and Miley seems to like what she’s watching! MTV got the exclusive debut release of the clip, while also mentioning that an Olympian volleyball player was brought in to help the cast with their volleyball skills. This is just the latest in a ton of clips and featurettes that Disney has released for the film that hits theaters on March 31st.

Most we recently posted the Miley and Greg Kinnear Access Hollywood interview, a trio of clips, and a couple of sets of promo images. Joining Miley, Hemsworth and Kinnear is Kelly Preston, in the Julie Anne Robinson directed film based off of the Nicholas Sparks novel.

Allison Iraheta Sings National Anthem at Los Angeles Marathon

Yesterday, to kick off the 25th Los Angeles Marathon, former American Idol (season eight) contestant Allison Iraheta performed the the U.S. National Anthem. Winning the actual marathon was Wesley Korir, who duplicated his victory from last year, and did so amongst several celebrity participants including Gordon Ramsay, Andy Baldwin, Audrina Patridge, Shia Labeouf, and Sean Astin. The event is over 26 miles long and took just over two hours to complete.

Below is a video I saw on on Youtube of Allison’s performance! Her debut album, Just like You, was released last December.

shakira waverly place

We’ve been talking about pop star Shakira’s visit to Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place since last year when Shakira noted that it would be her first acting gig since she was a teenager (though since then she has appeared on Ugly Betty). Looks like that the Shakira and Selena Gomez duet clip from the episode, called “Dude Looks Like Shakira”, that we posted before was pulled, but has now been re-released (and is below). The episode airs on April 16th at 8:30 pm Eastern, and we brought you the (official) promo images from the episode a couple of days ago.

This month also brought us word that there are 20 episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place that we as of yet have not been seen! Excuse the silly logo, the video is not ours, we just found it on youtube.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez at Houston Rodeo Show tonight

Mar - 21 2010 | Damon Cap | no comments |

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will be performing tonight, March 21st at the Houston Rodeo Show in front of 70,000 people. This is that same venue that the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato played on March 7th.

Well it seems that last night Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber hung out and both of the stars let us know what was up via Twitter.

Justin: “Chillin with my bud @selenagomez” “me and @selenagomez are gonna be performing here in houston for the big rodeo tomorrow. 70,000 people! Nuts. Texas does it real big”

Selena: “Jam session with @justinbieber and the fam after some amazing food. Good night, good people. ”

You can check out a few of the photos that Selena posted on her Facebook account below, it looks like they were taken during a soundcheck or rehearsal.  Really is there a better concert than Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez for the crossover appeal of their fanbase?  Anyone that gets a chance to go let us know how it was.  Plus it is real nice that Selena and Justin are so active on Twitter and Facebook it really gives the fans a little bit insight into their lives.  For some more Bieber check out the Nightline interview.

demi lovato

Justin Bieber isn’t the only one going on tour soon! Demi Lovato took to youtube to let her fans know that she to would be going on tour very soon. While Bieber’s concerts are part of a North American tour, Lovato is hitting the road on a South American tour.

Just yesterday we brought you more Lovato goods, posting the behind-the-scenes footage of “Make a Wave”, a collaboration with her and Joe Jonas. It’s been a busy week of Lovato news even beyond all of that, as last week BSCkids brought you the word that both Lovato and Raven Symone would be making a guest appearance on Sonny with a Chance.

Check out the video below, and BSCkids will update the news as we hear it!

Who Saw Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Disney’s Handy Manny Big Race?

Mar - 21 2010 | Jay Tomio | no comments |

handy manny

The last time we talked Handy Manny was way back in November when we were telling you about some big name guest stars that would soon be appearing on the show, and Damon must have completely forgot to tell you about this one – from last night – from the fast world of NASCAR! Dale Earnhardt Jr. appeared on a Prime Time special airing as “Chase Davis”, and gave Manny an assist in the Wood Valley 500 auto race. Usually, Handy Manny airs on weekdays at 9 a.m. EDT and on weekends at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. EDT–so maybe we should give Damon a break! This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a NASCAR star supporting kids’ shows this year. Remember, Jeff Gordon visited Sesame Street with Carrie Underwood!

Not only that, but the Handy and Elliot (Wilmer Valderrama & Lance Bass) offered up a new song called “One Step at a Time” that you can listen to over at Big D’s official site. ESPN has a clip of Earnhardt’s appearance, which I put below for you either relive or get a taste of!
