Miley Cyrus tapes special Hannah Montana episode with Military Families

Miley Cyrus and her father Billy Ray Cyrus filmed a special episode of Hannah Montana on Friday where the viewing audience was filled with military families.  The inspired episode celebrates miliary families and presents the unifying theme of “celebrate your family.”  The guests were invited to appear in the episode and videotape greetings to their parents many of which are deployed.  I think it is great that Miley and the Disney Channel do events like this, you know how much that the youth look up towards Miley and the fact she can give back is a great story.

Madison Pettis, who I remember from Cory in the House, was also on hand as her brother just returned from serving in Iraq.  She tweeted “As you know, my brother just returned from a year of duty in Iraq. I can’t wait to meet all the military families today at the taping! So honored to be a part of the very special taping of Hannah Montana! Thanks Disney Channel!”

SoI am really looking forward to this last season with Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana and can not wait to see this episode.  You can also check out some more information on Miley Cyrus and her movie, The Last Song which hits theaters on March 31st here.

HANNAH MONTANA – Disney Channel’s hit series “Hannah Montana” celebrates military families in an inspiring episode that taped Friday, March 12, before a studio audience filled with families of the armed services. The young guests at the taping, many of whom have deployed parents, were invited to appear in the episode and videotaped greetings to their parents. The episode, which presents the unifying theme of “celebrate your family,” a recurring attribute in Disney Channel programming, is scheduled to air this August.
