Disney’s Tron Monorail!

How cool is this! it just needs to go faster and have an awesome sound effect like the classic Tron movie! The Disney Parks Blog has put up a video of the Disney Monorail tronned out. Disney is not doing this just to remind you of the 1982 film though; instead they are probably increasing awareness of the upcoming new movie, Tron Legacy, which we’ve been covering more closely at our Big Brother site.

We have mentioned Tron here at BSCkids before though, but more of as an aside in a post about Disney bringing Marvel’s Avengers to Disney XD (what can we say, we love our Marvel Comics!). That Tron is an animated project that was presented at the same time. I don’t think it has the official green light yet, but reportedly it was aimed at kids ages 6-14. Plans for a Tron micro-series that they would premiere in the Fall of 2011, to serve as a lead-in to a regular animated series were also (reportedly) discussed. The movie (Tron Legacy) comes out on December 17th, 2010.
