The Season 3 finale of Disney’s hit show Hannah Montana will ask, answer and be titled that exact question. The episode is 2 months away, coming at us in March, and will be a special a full-hour special. Disney’s Adam Bonnett says this of the episode, “”a big one-hour event where we find out what Miley Cyrus’ decision is going to be,”–and it will have some guest stars!

Guest starring in “Is Miley Saying Goodbye?” will be Ray Liotta and Angus T. Jones. Season 4 will begin production this month and run for over a year. Is it time for Miley to go back home?

Move Finished & Redesign Coming!

Sorry for the second outage yesterday here at BSCkids. It happened previously, and when it did I told the commenter that we were moving to a new dedicated server, which was true then, but this time it actually (again!) was another move to an even larger/better hosting package to accommodate the site. We figured we might as well bite the bullet now as initial trends here and the success of our other existing sites let us know if we didn’t, we’d have to do it again very soon anyway! BSCkids is now on the new server, and next up you will see a fresh new site design in the near future. Some of the work will be done live so please bear with us as we transition to our new look.

Thanks for all the support thus far!

Disney’s Diamond Edition Fantasia Trailer!

Jan - 06 2010 | Jay Tomio | 1 comment |

Disney’s Diamond Edition collection is set to add all things Fantasia, as this trailer reveal a preview of Fantasia, Fantasia 2000 and a Fantasia World, which reportedly will include as-of-yet never before seen short films. To this day, the magic of the original Fantasia is still evident, but I have to admit I haven’t seen 2000 yet, so this might be the opportunity to correct myself!

What is the Diamond Collection?

The historic and highly-anticipated release fittingly launches a spectacular all-new product line – Disney’s Diamond Collection. Poised to transform home entertainment, just as the movie itself transformed the entire motion-picture industry upon its debut in 1937, the revolutionary new Diamond Collection brings audiences the most immersive and highest-level viewing experience, that includes unparalleled features, exclusive high definition content and updatable experiences, superior picture and sound, and much, much more. Taking home entertainment to fantastic new heights unlike anything before, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Diamond Edition marks the film’s first-ever high-definition Blu-ray bow, on October 6, while the standard definition will be released seven weeks later, on November 24.

I saw this (trailer) over at /Film, so kudos to them!

Jeff Smith’s ‘Boneville’ Around the Corner At A Theater Near You?

Jan - 02 2010 | Jay Tomio | no comments |

In a recent series of interview with Collider, Dan Lin, the producer of the Sherlock Holmes movie in theaters now, dropped some bits about the definitive all-ages comic book of our generation being adapted to film! Yes, we are talking about Jeff Smith’s Bone! He talked about several projects, but in the presence of Bone all other discussion is rendered irrelevant.

Lin reveals that a Justin Monjo is writing the script for the adaptation and added:

“it really looks like a mix of Shrek as far as the three Bone characters and their comedy, their Looney Tunes or Marx Brothers comedy set in a Lord of the Rings world. We’ve met with several directors and we hope to come to a director decision by January and Jeff Smith has been very intricately involved in the development process with us.”

It’s January now, I can’t wait!

He also added it’s being produced with Animalogic, the people who brought us Happy Feet and Guardians of Ga’Hoole. There isn’t anybody who shouldn’t have read Bone, and there isn’t anybody who can not enjoy Bone. If they made an Absolute Bone edition it would just be fio truth in title, not describing format. You need to go ahead and buy this:

You go scoop that and The Muppet Movie for you niece, nephew, son, and/or daughter and you become the favorite person in their life (okay so you may have to throw in a Nintendo–but BSCkids will have you covered in the next month with that to! Wha!) and you made the move through one day’s worth of posting at BSCkids! That’s what’s lovely about Bone. Boy or girl it doesn’t matter. Bone is not just all ages. It’s all people.

Be sure to read the rest of the interview over at Collider now!

The Muppet Movie Headed to the U.S. National Film Registry

Jan - 02 2010 | Jay Tomio | no comments |

Only question that this brings up is, “it took this long?” All-time classic film for me and many others, as you can tell by a generation of 30-somethings that throw ugly looks at you if you don’t show proper respect to it or its creator Jim Henson!

Every year The US National Film Registry choose to permanently archive/honor select films and The Muppets Movie among this year’s picks that qualify (per there site):

These films are not selected as the “best” American films of all time, but rather as works of enduring importance to American culture.

Luckily, The Muppet Movie is both. If you don’t have this gem (which is mind-boggling) you NEED it! While I find this (below) edition to be lackluster, most of just can’t go back to the beauty of Betamax.
