USA Today has an article about Shrek Forever After, which will be our 4th movie following the adventures of the lovable Ogre, Donkey, and Princess Fiona. This one will be in 3-D and is set to come out next Summer on May 21st. The two images feature Shrek, Donkey and I believe Rumpelstiltskin.

Mike Mitchell, the art director for Shrek 4 tells the paper (about Shrek):

“He has lost his roar,”

“It used to send villagers running away in terror. Now they run to him and ask him to sign their pitchforks and torches.

The premise? “The Brothers Grimm meet It’s a Wonderful Life: After rescuing a princess, getting hitched and fathering triplets, Shrek is feeling over-domesticated”.

Go read the full article over at USA Today, where they give you the scoop on new characters played by people like Kathy Griffin, Kristin Schaal (witches!) and Jon Hamm!
